Mary C. Lescanec Bekelja, 80, of Bressler, died Monday, June 16, 2008 in the M.S. Hershey Medical Center. She was a homemaker and a member of Prince of Peace Roman Catholic Parish, Steelton, Bressler Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary, St. Lawrence Lodge 13, Croatian Fraternal Union and the St. Mary's Preservation Society. Mary was preceded in death by three brothers, Mato, John and Raymond and is survived by her husband of 61 years, William F. Bekelja; her children, Yvonne M. Bekelja, Chambers Hill, William M. Bekelja, Middletown, Kathleen A. Drace, Elizabethtown, Celeste M. Slothower, Middletown, Eileen M. Taylor, Mechanicsburg and John M. Bekelja, Hummelstown; two brothers, Robert Lescanec, Steelton and Lawrence Lescanec, Bressler; eight grandchildren, Kyle, Justin, Angela, Marissa, Zachary, Danielle, Mato and Yanna. Mass of
Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, June 20, 2008 at 11 a.m.,
in Prince of Peace-Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Roman Catholic
Church, Steelton, with the Rev. James M. Lyons, Celebrant. Burial in
Resurrection Cemetery. A viewing will be held on Friday from 9-10:30
a.m., in the Wiedeman Funeral Home, 357 South Second Street, Steelton. |
