Charles L. Bosnjak


Charles L. Bosnjak, 85, of 1423 Rosedale Avenue , Middletown , died Sunday, February 10, 2008 in Harrisburg Hospital .

He was a former flight engineer at the former Olmsted Air Force Base, Middletown , a retired equipment specialist for the Naval Supply Depot, Mechanicsburg, and an Army Air Force veteran of World War II.

Charlie was a member of Prince of Peace Roman Catholic Parish, Steelton, American Legion Post 623, Beechcreek , PA , Beechcreek Mountain Rod & Gun Club, and the 50+ Club. He was an avid Notre Dame and St. Louis Cardinals fan and enjoyed hunting, fishing and gardening.

He is survived by his wife, Cecilia Hren Bosnjak; two sons, Charles L. Bosnjak and his wife, Patricia of Middletown and Ted J. Bosnjak and his wife, Susan of Glassboro, NJ; one daughter, Linda P. Buhler and her husband, Paul of Killington, VT; seven grandchildren, Eric, Benjamin, Matthew, Craig, Christopher, Alison and Rachel; four great grandchildren, Benjamin, Ethan, Emma and Bolling. He was preceded in death by seven brothers, Frank, Michael, William, Stanley, Lawrence, Fred and Louis Bosnjak; four sisters, Mary Bosnjak, Ann Graybill, Josephine Kelly and Elizabeth DeFilippo; and a granddaughter, Heather.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, February 14, 2008 at 11:00 am in Prince of Peace-Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Roman Catholic Church with Rev. James M. Lyons, his pastor, as celebrant. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery , West Hanover Twp. A viewing will be held on Thursday from 9 until 10:30 am in Wiedeman Funeral Home, 357 S. Second St . , Steelton.
