Ruth M. Weyant Carricato, 72, of Steelton, died Sunday, May 11, 2008 in Holy Spirit Hospital.

She was a member of Prince of Peace Roman Catholic Parish.

Ruth was preceded in death by two sisters, Sue Moppin and Pearl Kope; two brothers, Harry Schroll and Norman Weyant and a grandson, James Shetron and is survived by her husband, Alfred L. Carricato; two sons, David E. Shetron, Jr., East Waterford and Bryan L. Carricato, Steelton; four daughters, Carol Wolfe, Ickesburg, Debra Clementoni, Harrisburg, Naomi Westbrook and Mary Carricato, both of Steelton; four brothers, Samuel and Thomas Weyant, both of Middletown, Albert Weyant, Jr., Duncannon, David Weyant, Lemoyne; five sisters, Jenny Martin, Middletown, Emma Schreiber, Oberlin, Lillian Mixell, Harrisburg, Helen Anthony and Barbara Barrett, both of Enola; seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, May 15, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. in Prince of Peace – Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Roman Catholic Church, with the Rev. James M. Lyons, Pastor, Celebrant. Burial in Holy Cross Cemetery. A viewing will be held on Thursday from 9:30 a.m. – 10:30 a.m. in the Wiedeman Funeral Home, 357 South Second St., Steelton.
