Andrew F. Cigic, 71, of Middletown, died Sunday, January 13, 2008 in Harrisburg Hospital.

He was a graduate of Steelton High School and a retired electrician for Bethlehem Steel Corp. and Harrisburg Steel Co., and a member of Prince of Peace Roman Catholic Parish, Steelton.

Andrew is survived by his wife, Peggy Latshaw Cigic; one son, Duane Cigic and Tina of Harrisburg; one daughter, Catherine Brown of Middletown; a daughter-in-law, Wendy Cigic of Middletown; three sisters, Catherine Hallman, Margaret Marencic and Helen McCartney, all of Harrisburg; seven grandchildren, Casey Cigic, Christina Brown Baker, Jessica Spink, Jennifer Brown Sweeney, Aaron Spink, Nicole Brown and Kobe Brown; four great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by five brothers, William, George, John, Rudolph and Adolph Cigic; three sisters, Dorothy Cigic, Mary Magaro and Elizabeth Jacob.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, January 18, 2008 at 11:00 am in Prince of Peace-Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Roman Catholic Church with Rev. James M. Lyons, his pastor, as celebrant. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery. A viewing will be held on Friday from 10:00 until 11:00 am in his church. Arrangements are being handled by Wiedeman Funeral Home, Steelton.
