Donald M. Gould


Donald M. Gould, age 76, of Steelton, died Friday, March 7, 2008 in his home.

He was a retired Medical Branch Chief, U.S. Department of Defense at Mechanicsburg, with 32 years of service; was a graduate of Steelton High School, Class of 1949; member of Prince of Peace Roman Catholic Parish, Steelton; a U.S. Army Veteran of the Korean War; life member, former commander, and trustee of the Steelton VFW, Post 710 and its Bingo chairman; past PA State VFW Commander 95-96; member of Loyal Order of the Moose Lodge 382; Steelton Italian Club; Fifth Ward Club; and Steelton American Legion Post 420.

Donald was preceded in death by four brothers, Dick, Ed, Joe and George Gould, and is survived by his wife of fifty years, Starr Coy Gould; three daughters, Chryseia M. Brennan of Cocoa, FL, Beth Anne Miller of New Cumberland, and Donna Gay Albritton of Highspire; two sisters, Dorothy Eppinger and Margaret Doyle, both of Lower Paxton Twp.; three grandsons, Neil, Cole, and A.J.; numerous nieces and nephews.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, March 13, 2008 at 11 a.m., in Prince of Peace-Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Roman Catholic Church, Steelton, with the Rev. James M. Lyons as celebrant. Burial at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, with military honors. Viewings will be held on Wednesday from 7-9:00 p.m., and on Thursday from 9:30-10:30 a.m., in the Wiedeman Funeral Home, 357 South Second Street, Steelton.
