James Nathaniel “Demoe” Hymon, Sr., 75, of Harrisburg , died Wednesday, February 13, 2008 in Harrisburg Hospital . James attended Steelton High School and was a member of Martin Luther King Baptist Church , Harrisburg and a retired employee of the former Bethlehem Steel Corp. He is survived by one son, James N. Hymon, Jr. of Odenton, MD; three daughters, Rev. Lavette R. Hymon-Paige of Steelton, Jacqueline N. Hymon-Maxie of Harrisburg and Heather D.M. Brown of Houston, TX; one brother, John Hymon, of Miami, FL; three sisters, Willa Mae Crystal of Harrisburg, Sarah Blanding of Steelton and Julia Handy of Harrisburg; 11 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren, a lifelong friend Arlene M. Turner and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held on Monday, February 18, 2008 at 11:00 am in Wiedeman Funeral Home, 357 S. Second St . , Steelton with Rev. Sterling C. Green, his associate pastor, officiating. Burial will be in William Howard Day Cemetery . A viewing will be held on Monday from 10:00 until 11:00 am in the funeral home.
