William J. Kostelac


William J. Kostelac, 80, of Bressler, died Friday, May 30, 2008 in MS Hershey Medical Center.

He was an Army veteran of World War II, a former employee of Olmsted Air Force Base, Middletown and New Cumberland Army Depot. He retired from the Naval Ships Parts Control Center.

He was a member of Prince of Peace Roman Catholic Parish, Steelton, the 50+ Club and Past President and member of the Friendship Fire Company, Bressler.
Bill was the son of the late Mato and Kata Bukorac Kostelac and the widower of Mary E. Robb Lissner Kostelac, who died January 8, 2008. He is survived by a daughter, Bonnie M. Miller and her companion, Paul L. Forney of Oberlin; one brother, Peter Kostelac of Bressler; one sister, Margaret Gusky of Virginia; four grandchildren, Tammy Orsinger, Middletown, Debra Noles-Roger, Chambers Hill, Sheila Miller, Harrisburg and Daniel J. Miller II, Lisburn; six great grandchildren, Melissa and Jamie Orsinger, Rebecca Noles, Craig Edmonds II, Marshall Miller and one great grandchild in heaven. He was preceded in death by four brothers, Matthew, John, George and Joseph Kostelac; and two sisters, Barbara Kekich and Mary Roksandich.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, June 5, 2008 at 11:00 am in Prince of Peace-Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Roman Catholic Church with Rev. James M. Lyons, his pastor, as celebrant. Burial will be in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery at the convenience of the family. There will be no viewing or visitation. Arrangements are being handled by Wiedeman Funeral Home, Steelton.
