William J. Leedy III, 64, of Carlisle, died Wednesday, July 16, 2008 in ManorCare, Carlisle.

He was a retired government employee at the New Cumberland Army Depot, an Army veteran of the Vietnam War and a graduate of Bishop McDevitt High School Class of 1962.

He was the son of the late William J. Leedy, Jr. and Johanna A. Chambers Leedy and is survived by his wife, Connie J. Diller Leedy; one daughter, Alexandra C. Leedy of Carlisle; two brothers, Michael J. Leedy of Harrisburg and Patrick L. Leedy of Mechanicsburg; two sisters, Rosemary Cahill of Harrisburg and Frances J. Leedy of Newport; one grandson, Malachi Leedy.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, July 22, 2008 at 10:30 am in Wiedeman Funeral Home, 357 South Second Street, Steelton. Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery. A viewing will be held on Monday from 7:00 to 9:00 pm in the funeral home.
