Francis V. “Barney” Leo, 85, of 175 Crescent Drive, Hershey, died Sunday, March 2, 2008 in his home.

He was a retired insurance executive with John Hancock Insurance Company, an Army veteran of World War II and a member of St. Joan of Arc Roman Catholic Church, Hershey, Knights of Columbus Council, Hershey and Hershey Italian Lodge.

He was the widower of Clara M. Settino Leo and is survived by two sisters, Mary Ann Keane of Lawnton and Margaret Crouthamel of Lower Paxton Twp.; three brothers, Gilbert G. Leo of Susquehanna Twp., Donald E. Leo of Venice, FL and Ernest R. Leo of New Cumberland; numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a sister, Rose G. Brown and a brother, Joseph R. Leo.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, March 6, 2008 at 12:30 pm in St. Joan of Arc Roman Catholic Church, Hershey, with Rev. Walter A. Sempko, as celebrant. Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery, Swatara Twp. There will be no viewing. Arrangements are being handled by Wiedeman Funeral Home.
