Jean E. Wright Martin


Jean E. Wright Martin, 73, of Steelton, died Sunday, March 16, 2008 in Select Specialty Hospital , Camp Hill.

She was a cashier at Rite Aid Pharmacy on Linglestown Road , a former custodian/school bus driver for Central Dauphin School District and housekeeper at the former St. Peter's Catholic Church Rectory, Steelton.

Jean enjoyed crocheting, bingo, being generous to local charities, treasured her grandchildren and loved growing up in Steelton.

She was the widow of Harry A. Martin and is survived by one son, Rob A. Martin and his wife, Carol of Swatara Twp.; one daughter, Patricia J. Zeigler, with whom she resided; two brothers, Clarence L. Wright, Jr., Lower Paxton Twp. and Donald Wright, Valley Forge; two sisters, Patsy Dulka, Chicago, IL and Cheryl Riley, Greenville, SC; three grandchildren, Matthew Martin, Marie Martin, and Sarah Martin. Jean was preceded in death by one brother, Richard Wright.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, March 19, 2008 at 2:00 pm in Wiedeman Funeral Home, 357 S. Second St . , Steelton with Rev. James M. Lyons, Pastor of Prince of Peace Roman Catholic Parish, Steelton, officiating. Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery at the convenience of the family. A viewing will be held on Wednesday from 12 Noon until 2:00 pm in the funeral home.
