Karl F. Quenzer, 97, of Ecumenical Community, Susquehanna Twp., and formerly of 526 North Second Street, Steelton, died Thursday, February 21, 2008 in Community General Osteopathic Hospital . Karl was the son of the late Harry and Mary Gould Quenzer and a retired equipment specialist at the Naval Ships Parts Control Center, Mechanicsburg, a US Coast Guard veteran of World War II, a former member of St. James Roman Catholic Church, Steelton, a member of Prince of Peace Roman Catholic Parish, National Assn. of Retired Federal Employees, Loyal Order of Moose Lodge #382, and VFW Post 710. He is survived by several nieces and nephews, including Richard P. Fallinger of York Springs and Suzanne Quenzer of Harrisburg ; several great nieces and great nephews. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, February 25, 2008 at 11:00 am in Prince of Peace-Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Roman Catholic Church with Rev. James M. Lyons, his pastor, as celebrant. Burial Holy Cross Cemetery, Swatara Twp. A viewing will be held on Monday from 9:30 until 10:30 am in Wiedeman Funeral Home, 357 S. Second St . , Steelton. Memorial contributions may be made to Prince of Peace Roman Catholic Parish, 815 S. Second St . , Steelton , PA 17113 .
