Armand R. "Ron" Sill, Sr.


Armand R. "Ron" Sill, Sr., 53, of Steelton, died Friday, June 13, 2008 in his home, on his birthday.

He was a retired clerk for Navy Ships Parts Control Center, Mechanicsburg and had been formerly employed at the Dairy Queen, Steelton. He was a member of the Prince of Peace Roman Catholic Parish, Steelton; Blain Sportsman Club; an avid trout angler and was a devoted Steel-High Rollers sports fan.

Ron is survived by his wife, Rose D. Spoljaric Sill; one daughter, Amy Rose Sill of Bressler; two sons, Armand R. Sill, Jr. of Penbrook and Andrew Joseph Sill, Sr. of Steelton; one sister, Norma J. Dieffenbach of Bressler; one brother, Richard D. Sill of Middletown; five grandchildren, Jordan, Hallie, Chasity, Andrew, Jr., and Catherine; and a cousin, David Yandrich.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, June 19, 2008 at 11 a.m. in the Prince of Peace - Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Roman Catholic Church, Steelton, with the Rev. James M. Lyons, as celebrant. Burial in the Holy Cross Cemetery at the convenience of the family. A viewing will be held on Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. in the Wiedeman Funeral Home, 357 South Second Street, Steelton. Recitation of the Rosary at 7:45 p.m. Wednesday.
