Lawrence “Terry” Sweitzer, 71, of 2855 South Third Street, Steelton, died Wednesday, May 14, 2008 in MS Hershey Medical Center.

He was a retired heavy equipment operator for Bethlehem Steel Corp., attended Mt. Zion United Methodist Church, Steelton, and was a member of Loyal Order of Moose Lodge 382.

Terry was the son of the late Millard H. and Anna Auker Sweitzer and is survived by his wife, Gloria A. Serra Sweitzer; one son, Joseph L. Sweitzer of Steelton; one brother, John H. Sweitzer of Steelton; one sister, Cynthia L. Shuler and her husband, Gary L. of Hummelstown; several nieces and nephews and numerous friends and neighbors. Terry was preceded in death by two brothers, Noah and Charles Sweitzer.

Memorial services will be held at a later date. Arrangements are being handled by Wiedeman Funeral Home, Steelton.
