George F. Tonoff, 82, of 61 Petersburg Lane , Duncannon, died Sunday, January 27, 2008 in Harrisburg Hospital .

He was a retired structural ironworker for Local 404 of the Ironworkers Union. He was a Navy veteran of World War II, a life member of Steelton VFW Post 710, and a member of American Legion Post 420, Steelton.

He is survived by his wife, Grace E. Strawser Tonoff; two sons, Charles Michael Tonoff and his wife, Barbara of Lewisberry and Thomas F. Tonoff and his wife, Lynda of Millersburg; one daughter, Ann L. McCorkle and her husband, Harvey of Dauphin; 8 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; one aunt, Barbara Gilmer of Harrisburg. George was preceded in death by one son, Steven Tonoff.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 31, 2008 at 10:30 am in Wiedeman Funeral Home, 357 S. Second St . , Steelton. Burial will be in Churchville Cemetery , Oberlin, with full military honors. A viewing will be held on Thursday from 9 until 10:30 am in the funeral home.
