David L. Truax, 65, of Harrisburg , died Saturday, February 9, 2008 in his home.

He was a retired employee of the City of Harrisburg – Highway Department, an Assistant Manager of the Rutherford AMVETS, member of the Alison Hill Republican Club and Penbrook American Legion Post 730.

David is survived by two daughters, Valerie A. Manalang and Susan Truax, both of Florida ; two brothers, one sister and two grandchildren, Madeline and Joshua.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, February 15, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. in Riddlesburg Bible Church , Bedford County . Burial in Duvalls Cemetery , Six Mile Run, PA. A viewing will be held on Thursday from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. in the Fackler-Wiedeman Funeral Home, 23 rd and Derry Sts., Harrisburg and on Friday from 12:00 p.m. – 1:00 p.m. in the church.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Rutherford AMVETS, 7200 Derry Street , Harrisburg , PA 17111-5226 .
