Marlin E. “Spike” Wagner, Jr., 86, of Spring Creek Rehabilitation and Health Care Center, Swatara Twp., and formerly of Paxtang, died Wednesday, February 13, 2008 in Harrisburg Hospital. He was a retired automobile mechanic for the former Paul Camplese & Sons, Penbrook , US Army Veteran of World War II, a Pearl Harbor survivor, member of Pearl Harbor Survivors Assn. Central Penn–Letter Kenny Chapter No. 3, and a charter member of Ascension Evangelical Lutheran Church , Lower Paxton Twp. He was the widower of Ruth Neubaum Wagner and is survived by one brother, Robert C. Wagner of Banning, CA; a sister-in-law, Peggy M. Wagner of Hummelstown; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Monday, February 18, 2008 at 1:00 pm in Fackler-Wiedeman Funeral Home, 23 rd & Derry Sts., Harrisburg with Rev. M. Robert Green, his pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Rolling Green Cemetery , Lower Allen Twp. There is no viewing or visitation. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Ascension Evangelical Lutheran Church , 4768 Union Deposit Rd. , Harrisburg , PA 17111 .
