Anna M. Canning Yancheff, 88, of Lebanon Valley Brethren Home, Palmyra and formerly of Runyon Road , Hummelstown, died Monday, February 18, 2008 in the Home. She was a graduate of Steelton High School and St. Joseph 's College, Emmittsburg , MD and a retired secretary for the Lower Dauphin School District . She was the original organizer and two year President of Harrisburg Chapter of Professional Secretaries International, a former Girl Scout leader, 4- H Sewing Club leader, and a volunteer for Lower Dauphin Athletics Booster Club. Anna was a faithful member of Holy Annunciation Macedonian Bulgarian Eastern Orthodox Church, Steelton, where she was a choir member and member of the Ladies Auxiliary. She was the widow of Michael L. Yancheff and is survived by one daughter, Nadine Y. Espenshade and her husband, Richard of Hummelstown; two sons, Michael L. Yancheff, Jr. and his wife, Catherine of Eureka, CA and Philip M. Yancheff and his wife, Lynn of Venetia: seven grandchildren, Nicholas, Lisa, Matthew, Nathan , Chad , Scott and Todd; several nieces and nephews. Anna was preceded in death by four brothers, William, Joseph, James and Paul Canning and a sister, Margaret Canning. Funeral services will be held on Friday, February 22, 2008 at 10:30 am in Wiedeman Funeral Home, 357 S. Second St . , Steelton with further services at 11:00 am in Holy Annunciation Macedonian Bulgarian Eastern Orthodox Church with Rev. Daniel Ressetar and Very Rev. Stavrofor Srboljub Jockovich officiating. Burial will be in Baldwin Cemetery . A viewing will be held on Thursday from 7:00 until 9:00 pm in the funeral home with Trisagion services at 7:30 pm.
