In Loving Memory....

William A. Starsinic, 60, of 20 Ardmore Dr., Hummelstown, died Friday, October 1, 2010 in his home.

He was a graduate of Bishop McDevitt High School Class of 1968 and earned his Bachelors and Masters Degrees from Penn State University.  He was a retired teacher for  Steelton-Highspire High School with 33 years of service and Assistant Professor at Shippensburg University.

Bill was a member of St. Joan of Arc Roman Catholic Church, Hershey, where he served as Boy Scout Committee Chairman of Boy Scout Troop 108.  Bill started the Girls Basketball Program at Steel-High, and was Assistant Varsity Coach for the 1992 Boys State Championship.  He served as a Coach for St. Joan of Arc CYO, Assistant Varsity Coach at Lower Dauphin High School, and won the PA Council for Social Studies Award for his “Character-Night” program at Steelton-Highspire High School.

Bill was a loving and devoted husband and father.  His greatest joy was spending time with his children.  He enjoyed teaching young people in the classroom where he shared interest in history, and on the basketball court where he coached for the love of the game.  He was an avid Penn State and Phillies fan and everyone is welcome to wear their colors to his viewing.  Bill lived a full and happy life, dedicated to his faith, family and service to others.
