Arlene J. Zimmerman Kimberling, 89, of Susquehanna Township, died Sunday, April 30, 2017 in Carolyn's House of Hospice of Central PA.
Born in Llewellyn, PA on August 4, 1927, she was the daughter of the late Albert and Emma Zimmerman.
She was a member of Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church, Harrisburg and taught Sunday School for many years. She also gave out food vouchers for 12 years at the church,and she was a Godmother to many of the children in the church over the years. She was a retired Machine Operator for Lipton Co. of Harrisburg with 36 years of service.
Arlene was the widow of Jack R. Kimberling and is survived by two daughters, Linda Kimberling of Middletown and Sally Kimberling Boyd, of Linglestown; three grandchildren, Tara Allen and husband, Brian of Linglestown, Kelly Corliss and fiance, Brady of California, and Margot Ring and husband, Ron of Connecticut; and four great grandchildren, Bryson and Bryleigh Allen and Parker and Sienna Ring. She was a very loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She was preceded in death by her sister, Emily Odell.
Funeral Services will be held on Monday, May 8, 2017 at 11:00 am in Fackler-Wiedeman Funeral Home, 2253 Derry St., Harrisburg, PA 17104 with Rev. Drew Stockstill, Pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery at 1:30 pm. A viewing will be held on Monday from 10:00 am to 11:00 am in the funeral home.
