Paul W. Zlogar, 31, of Middletown, died Sunday, April 30, 2017 while hiking on the Appalachian Trail.
He was an employee of the PA Dept. of Revenue, a graduate of Bishop McDevitt High School Class of 2004, and a member of Prince of Peace Roman Catholic Parish, Steelton and St. Aloysius Lodge No. 42 KSKJ.
He is survived by his father, William J. Zlogar, Jr. of Steelton, his mother, Donna L. Swartz Rhoades and his stepfather, Robert L. Rhoades of Duncannon; one brother, Anthony Martin Zlogar of Harrisburg; his maternal grandparents, Carl and Faye Swartz of Highspire; and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. Paul was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, William J. "Boots" Zlogar, Sr. and Mary Ann Zlogar.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, May 5, 2017 at 11:00 am in Prince of Peace-Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Roman Catholic Church, 815 S. Second St., Steelton with Very Rev. David L. Danneker, his Pastor as celebrant. Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery. A viewing will be held on Friday from 9:00 am until 10:30 am in Wiedeman Funeral Home, 357 S. Second St., Steelton, PA.
