Kenneth C. Anderson, 78, of Upper Allen Township and formerly of Camp Hill, died Friday, September 8, 2017 in his home.
He was a peacetime veteran of the US Air Force and a retired Firefighter for the City of Harrisburg, Bureau of Fire with 38 years of service. He was a part time employee of Brenner Motors, Camp Hill, and a member of Robert Burns Lodge No. 464 FandAM, New Cumberland VFW Post 7415, AMVETS, William Penn Alumni Assn., Lewisberry Sportsmen's Club, and the International Assn. of Firefighters AFL CIO Local 428.
Ken was the son of the late Charles Anderson and Delphine D. Gould and his stepfather, George Gould. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Mary Lou McClucas Hadix Anderson; daughter, Dawne Anderson Chambers and husband, Scott of Denver, NC; one stepdaughter, Lisa Perry and husband, Dennis of Edmond, OK; two stepsons, Brian L. Hadix and wife, Brenda and Mark A. Hadix and wife, Sherrill, all of Chandler, OK; two grandchildren; eight step grandchildren; and eight step great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his son, Rodney Anderson.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday, September 15, 2017 at 11:00 am in Wiedeman Funeral Home, 357 S. Second St., Steelton. Burial will be in Shoops Cemetery, Lower Paxton Twp. A viewing will be held on Friday from 9:30 am until 11:00 am in the funeral home.
