Solomon Miller, 90, of Mechanicsburg, PA, passed away on November 22, 2017. He was born on March 20, 1927, in New York City to the late Morris and Mollie Miller.
After he graduated from the High School of Industrial Arts in New York, he entered the Army and was an illustrator for Stars and Stripes. He was honorably discharged and started his own window display business. He designed window displays for ship and air lines in the Manhattan area and advertising signs.
His greatest pleasure was being with family and watching the New York Mets.
He is survived by his wife of 70 years, Judith (Gordon) Miller, son Jeffrey Miller and wife Susan (Sostar), daughter Valerie Rodman. His grandchildren, Debra Rodman, Nikki (Miller) Heckard, wife of Dave, Karen Rodman and Jason Miller, and great grandson Garrett, and brother Irving and numerous nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents he was predeceased by brothers Martin and Malcolm, sisters Annette and Estelle and son-in-law Steve Rodman.
Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, November 28, 2017 at 11:00 am in the East Harrisburg Cemetery, 2260 Herr Street, Harrisburg, PA 17109. Wiedeman Funeral Home, Steelton is handling arrangements.
