Jeanne Kiely Spitler, 95, of Frey Village Retirement Center, Middletown and formerly of Hillsdale Drive, Middletown, died Monday, January 8, 2018 in the Center.
She was a retired Research Assistant Administrator at Harrisburg Hospital, a member of Seven Sorrows of the Blessed Virgin Mary Roman Catholic Church, Middletown and its Parish Council of Catholic Women, life member of Beta Sigma Phi sorority, a 60-year member of International Assn. of Administrative Professionals, and the Seton Club of Harrisburg.
Jeanne was the daughter of the late P. Joseph and Elizabeth G. Dee Kiely and the widow of Lt. Col. James H. Spitler. She is survived by a niece and caregiver, Alecia M. Deter of Harrisburg; one step son and nephew. She was preceded in death by a brother, W. Jack Kiely.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, January 12, 2018 at 11:00 am in Seven Sorrows of the Blessed Virgin Mary Roman Catholic Church with Rev. Ted J. Keating, her Pastor, as celebrant. Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery. A viewing will be held on Friday from 10:00 am until 11:00 am in the Narthex of her church. Arrangements are being handled by Wiedeman Funeral Home, Steelton.
