Nancy K. Kirby Fisher, 83, of Bethany Village, died Friday, February 2, 2018 in the Village. .
She was born on August 9, 1934 in Chambersburg to the late David B. and Regenia Kunkle Kirby. Nancy graduated from William Penn High School, and also from Lebanon Valley College, earning a degree in elementary education. She then went on to earn her Masters of Education Degree at Penn State University.
Nancy retired after many years as a School Teacher at Susquehanna Twp. School District. She was a member of Calvary United Methodist Church in Lower Paxton Twp.,
and a member of the PA Assn. of School Retirees, Dauphin County PA Assn. of School Retirees. She volunteered at Harrisburg Hospital for 28 years, and was also a member of the Bethany Village Auxiliary. Nancy's happiest times were spent with her family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Reed Fisher and she is survived by three step-sons, Lewis E. Fisher (Reba) of Manheim, E. Bud Fisher (Jane) of Halifax, and Robert R. Fisher II (Julie) of Elizabethville; one brother, Dr. David B. Kirby, (Penny) of Niceville, FL; and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday, February 9, 2018 at 11:00 am in Fackler- Wiedeman Funeral Home, 2253 Derry St., Harrisburg, with Pastor Ron Parks, her pastor officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. A viewing will be held on Friday from 10:00 am to 11:00 am in the funeral home.
