Minerva "Mim" Malesic, 94, of Elizabethtown, passed away Saturday, February 10, 2018 at Harrisburg Hospital.
She was lead waitress at Inn 22, Santanna's and The Beachcomber. She spent nearly 30 years as a popular waitress at Steelton Moose Post 382, retiring at 82. At 56, she secured her first and only office position with the Mechanicsburg Naval Supply Depot, where she earned several awards before retiring at 76.
Minerva was a loving, loyal wife, mother and friend. She was a hard worker and enjoyed people. Other pleasures included yard sales (with hot dogs), a few select TV programs and games, word search, music and her beloved dog Petey.
She was born in Mt. Union, PA the daughter of Ralph Earl Showalter and Ethel (Rhine) Showalter. She was preceded in death by the late Harry Wilson Berrier and Rudolph J. Malesic, her husband of 57 years, and two sons, Harry J. Berrier Sr. and Clark E. Berrier Sr.
Minerva is survived by five daughters, Lois F. (Berrier) Eaton of Reed's Gap, Sarah E. (Malesic) Zook of Harrisburg, Catherine M. (Malesic) Hartranft, Toni D. Malesic of Middletown and Linda L. (Malesic) Condran of Elizabethtown; 13 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be held at the convenience of the family in the Wiedeman Funeral Home, 357 South Second Street, Steelton. Burial will be in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. Viewing will be private.
