Mary Jane Diritto Lane, 94, of Hanover and formerly of Middletown, died Monday, March 12, 2018 in UPMC Hanover.
She was retired from the Navy Ships Parts Control Center, Mechanicsburg and a member of Seven Sorrows of the Blessed Virgin Mary Roman Catholic Church, Middletown. She attended St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, Hanover and was a Charter President of the Lower Swatara Twp. Lioness Club and the Hanover Lions Club.
Mary Jane was the daughter of the late Nicholas and Rose M. Acri Diritto and is survived by her loving husband of 66 years, James H. Lane; four sons, Richard M.Lane of Louisa, VA, Nicholas A. Lane and wife, Barbara of Steelton, John L. Lane and wife, Sheron of Port Charlotte, FL, and Joseph T. Lane and wife, Carol of Hanover; seven grandchildren and step grandchildren; ten great grandchildren, and a nephew, Glenn M. Diritto and wife, Kay, and two sons. She was preceded in death by a sister, Josephine Kimmey.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, March 16, 2018 at 11:00 am in Seven Sorrows of the Blessed Virgin Mary Roman Catholic Church, Middletown with Rev. Ted J. Keating, her Pastor, as Celebrant. Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery. A viewing will be held on Friday from 10:00 am until 11:00 am in the narthex of her church. Arrangements are being handled by Wiedeman Funeral Home, Steelton.
