Obituary of Margaret Metka

Margaret G. Smey Metka, 65, of Oberlin-Steelton, was called home on Wednesday, September 13, 2017 in her home surrounded by her loving family.

She was an employee of T.E. Connectivity and a member of Prince of Peace Roman Catholic Parish, Steelton.

Margaret was the daughter of the late Stephen and Margaret Botchie Smey and is survived by her loving husband of 15 years, Richard W. Metka; two daughters, Melissa A. Rinehart and companion, Lequan Jones and Stacy A. Heineman and husband, Chris, all of Harrisburg; four sisters, Susan Day and Mary Ann Smey, both of Enhaut, Virginia Kelly of Mechanicsburg, and Rosemarie Diffenderfer of Myrtle Beach, SC; one brother, Stephen Smey of New Cumberland; four grandchildren, Lia Rinehart-Jones, Amaia Rinehart-Jones, Keil Heineman, and Rachel Heineman.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, September 18, 2017 at 11:00 am in Prince of Peace-Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Roman Catholic Church, 815 S. Second St., Steelton with Very Rev. David L. Danneker, her Pastor, as Celebrant. Burial will be in Churchville Cemetery, Oberlin. A viewing will be held on Monday from 9:30 am until 10:30 am in Wiedeman Funeral Home, 357 S. Second St., Steelton.
