Angela M. Orsini, 73, of Lower Paxton Twp., died Monday, February 1, 2021 in Carolyn''s House of Hospice of Central PA, Susquehanna Twp.
She was born on January 12, 1948 in Harrisburg and was predeceased by her parents, Rose Cerzullo Orsini and Albert V. Orsini.
Graduated from St. Francis of Assisi School and a 1965 graduate of Bishop McDevitt High School and attended Harrisburg Area Community College. She
was a Division Secretary at the Pennsylvania Historical and Museum Commission''s Division of Archives and Manuscripts, and the Division of Archival and Records Management Services for thirty years.
Angela was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Roman Catholic Parish where she served as a Eucharistic Minister since 1984. She volunteered after retirement for fifteen years in the church office and as parish archivist writing the 100th anniversary history. She also volunteered for the Archives of the Diocese of Harrisburg since 2012,
Angela studied/taught dance and was active in theatre in many capacities mostly on stage at the Harrisburg Community Theatre, Arena House Theatre, Host Inn Dinner Theatre, Bishop McDevitt Senior Play and at Harrisburg Area Community College. Also, performed as a dancer three years for the Miss Pennsylvania Pageant at the Hershey Community Theatre.
She was an avid traveler in the U.S., Canada, Europe, Near East and on several cruises. Angela enjoyed writing and wrote a quarterly newsletter entitled "Eucharist" for many years, along with poems and short essays.
Surviving are her caregivers and cousins, Dory Szeles, Paula Ruppert and Deb Salldin.
Mass of Christian Burial will be concelebrated on Wednesday, February 10, 2021 at 11:00 am in St. Francis of Assisi Roman Catholic Church, 1439 Market St., Harrisburg with Rev. Daniel J. Mitzel and Rev. Philip A. White, OFM Cap as Concelebrants. Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery. A viewing will be held on Wednesday from 9:30 am until 10:30 am in Wiedeman Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 357 SOUTH HARRISBURG ST., OBERLIN. Current COVID-19 restrictions and guideiines will be enforced. Face masks and social distancing are required.
As a tribute, please do not wear black to the viewing or funeral! Wear red or any bright color!
