Anne M. (Hollis) Potami, 93, of Steelton, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 7, 2021 in Spring Creek Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center.
She was born in Locust Gap on November 3, 1927, daughter of the late John and Catherine Hollis. She was a graduate of Mt. Carmel Township High School. Anne was a member of St. Catherine Laboure Roman Catholic Church, Harrisburg. She married Samuel J. Potami Sr. on June 24, 1950 and he preceded her in death on August 31, 2002.
Anne was a homemaker and known for her baking and cooking. She enjoyed time with her family and also writing poetry-she would create many pieces that would include her loved ones.
Anne is survived by her loving daughter, Margaret (Peggie) Lesniak and her husband Douglas of Harrisburg; three loving grandchildren, Preston McCarty and his wife Aika, of Harrisburg, Dylan McCarty of Harrisburg, and Cailin Potami of Queens, New York. In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by four sons, Samuel Potami Jr., Vincent Potami, John Potami, and Joseph Potami; one brother, John Hollis and one sister, Lucy Gasperetti.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, September 15, 2021 at 11:00 am in St. Catherine Laboure Roman Catholic Church, 4000 Derry St., Harrisburg with Rev. James E. Lease, as Celebrant. A visitation will be held on Wednesday from 10:30 am to 11:00 am in the church. Burial will be held in Holy Cross Cemetery. Arrangements by Wiedeman Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Oberlin.
