Antonia Mercedes Colom de Alemany Mowery, 96, of West Hanover Twp., died Saturday, March 19, 2022 in MS Hershey Medical Center.
She was a graduate of Marinello School of Beauty, New York City and had been a beautician at the Sally Ray Beauty Salon, Hummelstown and also practiced locally. She was a homemaker, a member of a private sorority in Puerto Rico and a member of Holy Name of Jesus Roman Catholic Church, Lower Paxton Twp.
Antonia was born in Yauco, Puerto Rico, daughter of the late Sebastian and Esperanza Colom. She is survived by her loving husband, Joseph F. Mowery; three daughters, Maria T. Pierce of Lebanon, Imelda M. Willoughby and husband, Dean of Huntersville, NC and Anne C. Waggoner and husband, Bret of Silver Spring Twp.; two sons, Michael G. Mowery and wife, Tracey of Lower Paxton Twp. and Patrick A. Mowery of West Hanover Twp.; two sisters, Esperanza Colom Kelly and Imelda Colom Egipciaco, both of Puerto Rico; a daughter-in-law, Georgie Wilson; 12 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her beloved son, Joseph F. Mowery II, three sisters and four brothers.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, March 29, 2022 at 11:00 am in Holy Name of Jesus Roman Catholic Church. Burial will be in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery. A viewing will be held on Tuesday from 10:00 am until 11:00 am in her church. Arrangements are being handled by Wiedeman Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Oberlin.
