It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Barbara Jean Barish, 86, on Thursday, March 10, 2022 in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.
Barbara was born on November 2, 1935 in Huntington, West Virginia.
Barbara is preceded in death by her parents; Curtis and Hazel Barker; brother, Clarence Barker; son-in-law, Jerry J. Palermo and brother-in-law Robert L. Null.
She is survived by her husband of 60 years; Edward H. Barish; her son, Bruce G. Barish, and his wife Diane; 4 daughters, Terry L. Meyers, Wendy M. Palermo, Tracey A. Carson and her husband Chris, Shari D. Lantzy and her husband Douglas; a sister, Geraldine Null; sister-in- law, FloraBelle Barker; several nieces and nephews; 9 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild on the way.
After growing up in Ohio, Barb ventured to Vineland, NJ where she met Ed. After getting married they moved to Virginia Beach, VA and Portsmouth, NH before settling in Chambers Hill, where they raised their family and lived for over 40 years.
Barbara enjoyed bowling, dancing, and attending her children’s sporting events.
There will be no viewing or visitation at the request of the deceased. Arrangements by Wiedeman Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc.
