Barbara Ann Maljevac McEntee, 95, of Harrisburg, was called home to be with the Lord on June 4, 2021 in the Jewish Home of Greater Harrisburg.
Barbara was born and raised on the west side of Steelton. She was the daughter of the late Nicholas (Mike) and Barbara M. Maljevac. Barbara attended Steelton High School and received her GED diploma on August 25, 1985.
Barbara was the widow of Nolan J. McEntee, who died on January 5, 2007, after 59 years of marriage. She was preceded in death by her brother; John G. Maljevac; step-mother, Mary E. Maljevac; son, John N. McEntee and daughter-in-law, Lorraine McEntee. Barbara is survived by her daughter, Patricia A. Mull, who was her caretaker for the last 6 years; grandson, Robert J. McEntee, and companion Ann Shutt; great-granddaughter, Emily Rose McEntee, the apple of Barbara''s eye; sister, Elizabeth "Betty" Minnaugh; two step brothers, Ray Yovanovich (Miriam), William Yovanovich (Ruth); step-sisters, Lorraine Basonic and Dorothy "Dottie" Bell (Stanley). In addition to family, she is survived by many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
You may remember Barbara from her different places of employment including, Resistance Products Company, Olivetti, Delta Hosiery and the Commonwealth of PA - Department of Revenue. Barbara was a 50 year member of St. Lawrence Lodge #13, Croatian Fraternal Union - Steelton. Barbara loved to dance her Polkas, enjoyed Bingo and helping out wherever needed. She enjoyed her coffee and goodies and loved her roses.
Our lives will not be the same without her. She has touched so many lives in many ways. She loved people, she loved to laugh. She shared many memories of her childhood growing up. She shared memories of her Mother, Father, Sister and Brother. Our lives are filled with many fond memories of this good woman, these memories will carry us through the tough times and always bring a smile to our face and sometimes a tear.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, June 14, 2021 at 10:00 am in Cathedral Parish of Saint Patrick, 212 State Street, Harrisburg. Burial at the conclusion of Mass will be in Resurrection Cemetery. A viewing will be held on Monday from 8:30 am to 9:30 am in Wiedeman Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 357 South Harrisburg St., Oberlin.
The family would like to thank the Physicians, Nurses and Staff of UPMC - Pinnacle Health Osteopathic Hospital, The Jewish Home and Hospice of Central Pennsylvania for all the care and compassion they provided to Barbara.
