Barbara Shafer

Barbara A. Fox Shafer, 71, of Middletown, died Tuesday, October 18, 2022 in Claremont Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Carlisle.

She was the owner and operator of Cutters Edge Beauty Shop, Middletown. Barbara was the daughter of the late Harvey and Bessie Foster Fox and is survived by her loving husband of 40 years, James A. Shafer, Sr.; three daughters, Valerie A. Melhorn and husband, Luke of Lewisberry, Sherrie L. Zerby and husband, Dennis of Lykens, and Theresa Koerner and husband, Craig of Atlantic, VA; two sons, James A. Shafer, Jr. and wife, Marge of Harrisburg and Jonathan A. Shafer and wife, Dianna of Dauphin; brother, Jeff Fox of Lewisberry; 13 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by sister, Helen Fox Shafer and brother, Harvey "Sam" Fox.

Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, October 25 2022 at 2:00 pm in Wiedeman Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 357 S. Harrisburg St., Oberlin with Pastor Britt Strohecker officiating. A viewing will be held on Tuesday from 1:00 until 2:00 pm in the funeral home.
