Barry Buskey

Barry J. Buskey, 82, of Susquehanna Twp., died Sunday, October 23, 2022 in his home.

He was a graduate of John Harris High School Class of 1958, a US Army Veteran of the Vietnam War serving in the Military Police. He was a former employee of Harrisburg Electrical Bureau and was a retired Firefighter with the Bureau of Fire, City of Harrisburg, with 34 years of service. He was Past President of Local 428 for the Harrisburg Fire Department during the 1980''s; State President of the PA Professional Firefighters Assn. for 20 years; and the current President of the Allison Hook and Ladder Co. No. 2, where he originally joined in 1958. He was a member of Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd, Paxtang and Progress Fire Co.

Barry was the son of the late Joseph F. and Henrietta Thompson Buskey and is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Roberta Napiltonia Buskey; son, Michael J. Buskey and wife, Michelle of Mechanicsburg; two grandchildren, Raeann Buskey and Kaelyn Buskey. He was preceded in death by two brothers, David C. Buskey and Thomas W. Buskey.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, October 29, 2022 at 12 Noon in Wiedeman Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 357 S. Harrisburg St., Oberlin with Rev. Kathleen Baker, his Pastor, officiating. Burial Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. A viewing will be held on Saturday from 10:00 am until 12 Noon in the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Allison Hook and Ladder Fire Co., 315 S. 14th St., Harrisburg, PA 17104.
