Benjamin Whittington

Benjamin R. Whittington, 85, of Palmyra, died at Traditions Hershey on Sunday, July 14, 2024. Born in Harrisburg, he was the son of the late Benjamin L. and Louise (Parthemore) Whittington. He was the loving husband of the late Beverly A. (Hilmer) Whittington.
Benjamin was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Steelton. He worked as an Electronics Technician for the US Postal Service until his retirement. He served in the US Navy and was a member of Lawnton American Legion Post 998. He also played in the Harrisburg Area Dartball League.
Benjamin is survived by his children Benjamin R. Whittington, Jr. and his wife Allision of New Smyrna, FL, Keith L. Whittington and wife Staci of Hummelstown, Gary L. Whittington and wife Paula of Bradenton, FL, and Diane F. Whittington of Titusville, FL; his grandchildren Stephanie, Benjamin III, Ronald “RT”, Kayla, Paige, Kourtney, Jenna, and Peyton; his great-grandchildren Jack, Owen, Roland, Acaydia, and Cooper; and his brother David Whittington and his wife Denise of Harrisburg. In addition to his wife and parents, he is preceded in death by his brother Richard Lee Whittington.
A Funeral Service will take place on Friday, July 19, 2024 at Wiedeman Funeral Home, 357 S. Harrisburg Street, Oberlin, PA 17113 at 1:00 PM. Burial will follow at Blue Ridge Cemetery. A Viewing will be held at the funeral home on Friday from 12:00 PM-1:00 PM.
