Bridget Genevieve Spagnolo Still passed away peacefully at her home on December 17, 2024 surrounded by her loving family.
Bridget was the cherished wife of Clyde Still and the devoted mother of Christine Michelle Still and Tonita Martinez. She was a beloved sister to Sylvia Marie Spagnolo, Angela Rose Spagnolo, Ruth Marie Rapp and was preceded in death by her brother Nicodemus Spagnolo and her parents Vincent Spagnolo and Dorothy Spagnolo.
Born and raised in the Lawton area, Bridget graduated from Bishop McDevitt High School in 1968, She worked for the Civil Service Commission for eleven years before embarking on a new chapter running a family food truck business alongside her husband Clyde for sixteen years.
A kind soul with a deep love for the arts, Bridget found joy in singing and acting. Her passion led her to perform in numerous plays and musicals at the Harrisburg Theatre and the Hershey Playhouse, most notably as Mary Hatch’s nosy mother in It’s a Wonderful Life at the Harrisburg Theatre and Miss Lynch in Grease at the Oyster Mill Playhouse. She also appeared as an extra in the film Girl Interrupted, which was filmed at the State Hospital Grounds in Harrisburg. Bridget also regularly frequented Kajimaji Lounge on Saturday nights for many years where she enjoyed Saturday evening Karaoke and spending time with family and friends.
Bridget’s greatest pride and joy came from her family. She adored her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, treasuring every moment with them. Despite facing significant health challenges throughout her life, Bridget’s resilience and zest for life never wavered. She lived fully and joyfully, inspiring all who knew her. Bridget enjoyed traveling and cruising with the love of her life, her husband Clyde who was the love of her life and she the love of his.
In her final days, Bridget was surrounded by love and light in the comfort of her home, with her husband Clyde, daughter Christine, and her family by her side.
May Bridget’s memory bring comfort to all who knew and loved her, she was a one-of-a-kind human being and will be tremendously missed by her family and friends.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM on Friday, December 27, 2024 at St. Catherine Laboure Roman Catholic Church, with Rev. James Lease, her pastor as Celebrant. A Viewing will be held on Friday prior to services from 9:30-10:30 at Wiedeman Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 357 S Harrisburg St. in Oberlin.
