Carl W. Zeiders, 80, of Oberlin, passed away at home on Sunday, March 16, 2025. Born in Harrisburg on September 10, 1944, he was the son of the late Harold W. and Beatrice C. (Bennetch) Zeiders. He was the loving husband of Anna L. (Fishel) Zeiders, with whom he shared over 60 years of marriage.

Carl loved hunting and fishing and was a lifetime member of the Harrisburg Hunters & Anglers Club where he taught gun safety. He also enjoyed woodworking and was an avid bird watcher. He was an active member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Steelton where he served on the church committee. He worked for Roadway Express for 37 years and was a member of Teamsters Union 776.

In addition to his wife, Carl is survived by his sons Carl W. Zeiders, Jr. and Philip P. Zeiders and his wife Regina; his grandchildren Vincent Zeiders, Christine Starbuck and her husband Keenan, and Kelly Stoots and her husband Riley; his great-grandchildren Gunnar Starbuck, Rowan Starbuck, and Kenneth Stoots; his brother, Dennis Zeiders; and sister Gloria Kisner and her husband Paul; as well as many cousins, nieces, and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother Harold Zeiders, Jr., and sister Diana Putt.

The family would like to offer their thanks to Homeland Hospice for their dedication and care for Carl.

Memorial Services will be held on Monday, March 24, 2025 at 11:00 am in Wiedeman Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 357 South Harrisburg Street, Oberlin, with Pastor Pamela Carnes, Officiating. Burial will be in Churchville Cemetery. A visitation will be held from 10:00 am - 11:00 am in the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Trinity Lutheran Church, Steelton or to Homeland Hospice.
