Carter Logan Iskric, 26, formerly of Steelton, son of Lisa M. Iskric (Companion Adam J. Richards), Steelton, and Sean P. Pisle (Jennifer), Palmyra, lost his battle with depression Friday, April 28, 2023.
Carter attended Central Dauphin East High School. He was passionate and imaginative in the kitchen, having aspired to be a chef. He’s worked his way around different cuisines, developing his palate from private clubs to restaurants including, the Lawnton American Legion Post 998, William Penn Social Club, Crawdaddy's, and most recently 1700 Degrees Steakhouse at the Harrisburg Hilton.
Carter was competitive by nature whether it was "chefing it up,” playing darts, pool, or basketball with friends, he was always down to win but would cheer you on at the same time. He had a passion for art and music of all genres and supported all local artists. Carter was a member of the Sons of the American Legion Post 420, Steelton, and William Penn Social Association, Harrisburg.
Carter was preceded in death by his great-grandparents, Stanley F. "Honey" and Doris L. Iskric, Steelton. In addition to his parents, Carter is survived by his maternal grandparents, Michael R. Iskric, Sr. and wife Patty, Loysville; paternal grandparents, Samuel and Annmarie Pisle, Palmyra; half-siblings Tristan and Madilyn Pisle, Palmyra; Uncle "Du" Ryan E. Iskric (Monica), Marysville; Aunt Jennifer L. Hymans (Darnell), Shermansdale; Aunt Amber Pisle, Palmyra; Uncle Michael R. Iskric, Jr. (Andrea), Harrisburg; numerous cousins, extended family, friends and “framily” (friends that are family).
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, May 6, 2023, at 12:00 pm in Wiedeman Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc. located at 357 South Harrisburg Street, Oberlin. A viewing will be held at the funeral home on Saturday from 10:00 am - 12:00 pm. Carter will be resting peacefully with his great-grandparents at Holy Cross Cemetery at a later date. Arrangements by Wiedeman Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., Oberlin.
