Catherine H. "Kitty" Ernst Macut, 92, of Swatara Township, died Sunday, January 24, 2021 at the home of a daughter, surrounded by her loving family.
She was a retired Cafeteria Manager at Swatara Junior High School, attended St. Nicholas Serbian Eastern Orthodox Church, Oberlin and was a member of the Deutscher Quartet Club and St. Lawrence Club.
Kitty loved polka dancing with all her friends and gardening. Most of all, she enjoyed being with all of her family.
She was the daughter of the late Georg and Katie Gartner Ernst and the widow of Paul "Chick" Macut. Surviving are two daughters, Lynn Hartman and her husband, Robin of Lewisberry and Patty Macut of Steelton; one son, Michael Macut and his wife, Tammy of Steelton; three grandchildren, Wendy Yeager and husband, Rickie, Marie Gibbens and husband, Joe and Paul D. Macut; and four great grandchildren, Gracie Gibbens, Layla Gibbens, Samantha Yeager and Drake Gibbens.
Private Funeral Services will be held at the convenience of the family in Wiedeman Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 357 SOUTH HARRISBURG ST., OBERLIN with Rev. Christopher Rocknage officiating. Burial will be in Churchville Cemetery, Oberlin. Viewing will be private.
