Charles Gerhards

Charles (Chuck) Gerhards, 46, of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, passed away unexpectedly on December 4, 2023. Born in Camp Hill, he was the son of Charles and Diana (Knull) Gerhards.
Chuck was senior cybersecurity operations engineer and had worked for both the Pennsylvania Higher Education Assistance Agency (PHEAA) and the Pennsylvania State Employees Credit Union (PSECU). Chuck graduated from Indiana University of Pennsylvania with a degree in information technology. Later he earned several professional cybersecurity certifications.
In addition to his parents, Chuck is survived by a brother, Eric Gerhards and his wife Shannon of Harrisburg and 5 nieces and nephews, Kaley, Nick, Brinly, Logan and Bennett. Also surviving are an uncle, aunts, and cousins.
Chuck was an avid Philadelphia sport fan, loved animals and enjoyed outdoor activities.
Services are private and at the convenience of the family.
