Clement Fure

Clement P. Fure, Jr., 86, of Hershey, died Friday, July 1, 2022 in Penn State Milton S. Hershey Medical Center.

He was a graduate of Steelton High School Class of 1953 and studied Social Studies at the University of Oklahoma. Clement served 6 years in the U.S. Army Reserves and retired from the US Government USASAC, where he worked as a Systems Analyst Supervisor for the New Cumberland Army Depot for 33 years. He also served as a substitute houseparent for the Milton Hershey School.

Clement was a member of St. Joan of Arc Roman Catholic Church, Hershey, where he served as a Eucharistic Minister and was active in Cursillo Prison Ministry. Clem received a Heart Transplant in 1996 and served as a counselor for new Heart Transplant Recipients. Clem volunteered with young adults as a sponsor to Milton Hershey Students and was a Scout Master of St. Ann's Troop 104.

He was a member of the Steelton Italian Club and Hershey Italian Lodge. Clem loved playing bocce, was a member of the HIL Bocce League and a Pennsylvania Senior Olympics Bocce State Champion. Clem loved spending time with his family and friends, especially at the family cabin. He enjoyed dancing, music, fishing, playing cards, telling stories and most of all laughing together.

Clem was preceded in death by his parents, Clement, Sr., & Mabel Fure, his son, Anthony and his brother, Clarence. He is survived by his daughter, Doreen Fure-Fahringer, Hummelstown; son, Michael Fure (Denise) Hummelstown; 4 grandchildren, Andrew and Kelly Fahringer and Emma & Michael Fure; 3 brothers, Donald Fure (Caroline) Robert Fure (Cindy) & Michael Fure; two sisters, Carol Zimmerman (Lester) & Theresa Schlodynske; one sister-in-law, Josephine Fure; and the mother of his children, Julia Fure.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated, Saturday, July 16, 2022 at 11:30 am in St. Joan of Arc Roman Catholic Church, 359 W. Areba Ave., Hershey,

with Rev. Al Sceski, Pastor, Celebrant. Burial at the conclusion of Mass will be in Hershey Cemetery. A visitation will be held on Saturday from 10:30 am - 11:30 am in the church. Arrangements by Wiedeman Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., Oberlin.
