Dennis Fissel

Dennis L. Fissel, 68, of Newport and formerly of Oberlin, died Monday, August 9, 2021 in UPMC Pinnacle Harrisburg Hospital.

He was a graduate of Central Dauphin East High School and Harrisburg Area Community College. He was a Computer Programmer for AMP/TYCO, Middletown.

Dennis was the son of the late Merle W. Fissel and is survived by his mother and step-father, Betty M. Heffner Fissel Hardy and Ralph E. Hardy of Oberlin; a sister, Bonita M. Fissel Cullison and husband, Stephen H. of Liverpool; nephew, Adam S. Cullison; four great nephews and one great niece. He was preceded in death by a nephew, Craig S. Cullison.

Funeral Services will be held on Friday, August 13, 2021 at 11:00 am in Wiedeman Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 357 S. Harrisburg St., OBERLIN with Rev. Michael Nelson, Pastor of Swatara Church of God, officiating. Burial will be in Churchville Cemetery, Oberlin. A viewing will be held on Friday from 10:00 am until 11:00 am in the funeral home.
