Dolores D. Meckley

Dolores D. Meckley, 83, of Harrisburg, died on Saturday, October 26, 2024 at Spring Creek Rehabilitation & Healthcare.

Born in Steelton on March 20, 1941, Dolores was the daughter of the late Louis and Ann ( Simunjak) Devaric. She worked for Bell Telephone as a Switching Technician for over 20 years. She was a member of Prince of Peace Roman Catholic Parish in Steelton. She was the loving wife of the late Norman “Peter” Meckley, with whom she shared 50 years of marriage. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Bob.

Dolores is survived by her sister, Louise Spealman; her granddaughters Gabrielle Bonser and her significant other Jenn King, Michaela Miller and her husband Rick, and Alex Olson and her husband Elliott; her grandson Michael Bowers, Jr.; her nieces and nephews Denny, Tom, Alicia, Beth, and Corey; and her daughter, Annie Bowers.

Services are private and at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Prince of Peace Roman Catholic Parish at 815 S 2nd Street, Steelton, PA 17113. A random act of kindness in her honor would be appreciated as well.
