Donna Speese

Donna Marie (Bentz) Speese, 90, of Reading and formerly of Enhaut and Oberlin, died Thursday, June 13, 2024 at Complete Care at Berkshire. Born in Harrisburg, PA, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Magdalene (Poltl) Bentz. She was the loving wife of the late Richard A. Speese, Jr., who died in 2009.
Donna was a former member of St. John the Evangelist in Enhaut where she participated in the Choir, and St. Ignatius Loyola Church in Reading. She was a supporter and volunteer for Meals on Wheels. She was an avid reader and loved needlepoint, playing the piano, travelling, and playing Pinochle or Bridge. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother and will be very much missed.
Donna is survived by her children Richard Speese, Jr. (Susan), Mary Kay Limbacher, Carole Speese, Eileen Stephan (Randy), and James Speese; and her brother Charles “T” Bentz; as well as 9 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband and parents, she is preceded in death by her daughter Kathleen Speese, and her sister Diane McCreary.
