Edward Kovach, Jr.

Edward F. Kovach, Jr., 71, of Swatara Twp., died Tuesday, January 25, 2022 in UPMC Community Osteopathic Hospital, Lower Paxton Twp.

He was a Process Distribution Specialist at the Defense Distribution Center, New Cumberland and a Roman Catholic and member of the Sons and Daughters of Italy.

Ed was the son of the late Edward F. Kovach, Jr. and Charlotte Mae Foster Kovach and is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Margaret Anna Shayter Kovach; two sons, Edward F. Kovach III of Linglestown and Anthony S. Kovach and his wife, Shaun of Harrisburg; one daughter, Stephanie Anne-Marie Griffith and husband, Robert of Harrisburg; two brothers, Thomas and Joe Kovach; two sisters, Patricia Sprandel and Theresa Kovach; and five grandchildren, Alyssa, Jessica, Haley, Tyler and Kyle.

A Prayer Service will be held on Wednesday, February 2, 2022 at 11:00 am in Wiedeman Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 357 S. Harrisburg St.,. Oberlin with Rev. Jonathan P. Sawicki officiating. A viewing will be held on Wednesday from 10:00 am until 11:00 am in the funeral home.
