Elizabeth Diorazio

Elizabeth C. Knebel DiOrazio, 93, of Rutherford, died Tuesday, September 26, 2023 in UPMC - Community Osteopathic Hospital.

She was a Avon Sales Representative for over 50 years; member of St. Catherine Laboure Roman Catholic Church, Swatara Township and the Coffee Club of St. Catherine''s, Touch of Grey Travel Group and Card Club.

She was a the daughter of the late Josef Knebel and Anna Toth Knebel and was the widow of Joseph P. DiOrazio. Elizabeth is survived by her daughter, Elaine M. Harp and husband Ralph E Harp, Rutherford; four grandchildren, Sean Harp and wife Angela, Linglestown; Jessica Harp, Rutherford, Jenna DiOrazio, Lebanon and Jordan DiOrazio and wife Lisa, Kansas City, Missouri; six great-grandchildren, Colby Speck, Rutherford, Vincenza and Gianna Harp, Linglestown, Michael and Kayla DiOrazio, Kansas City, Lena MacDonald, Rutherford. Elizabeth was preceded in death by her son, Joseph DiOrazio and sister, Anna Szekeres.

Elizabeth had a personality larger than life, a heart made of gold, always willing to help anyone, especially her church. She was a very faithful Catholic, had a contagious laugh, and loved animals.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, October 4, 2023 at 11:00 am in St. Catherine Laboure Roman Catholic Church, 4000 Derry Street, Swatara Township, with Rev. James Lease, Pastor, Celebrant. Burial at the conclusion of Mass will be in Holy Cross Cemetery. A viewing will be held on Wednesday, October 4, 2023 from 9:30 am - 10:30 am in Wiedeman Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 357 S. Harrisburg Street, Oberlin.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Humane Society of Greater Harrisburg, 7790 Grayson Road, Harrisburg, PA 17111.

A Celebration of Elizabeth''s life will be held on Sunday, October 15, 2023 at 1:00 pm in Colonial Country Club, 4901 Linglestown Road, Harrisburg.
