Elizabeth “Betsy” (Ford) Langley, 78, of Steelton and formerly of Penbrook, passed away at home on Tuesday, March 26, 2024. Born in Harrisburg, she was the daughter of the late Harry and Ethel (Hurst) Ford.
Betsy graduated from John Harris High School and was very proud to have attended Harrisburg Area Community College (HACC). She trained as a dental technician and worked at Penn National Racetrack for many years, finally retiring from Spring Creek Nursing Home Admin Department.
Betsy was predeceased by her parents, her sister, Marilee Jane Snow, her nephew, Robert Snow, and niece, Vicki Snow. She is survived by her brother, Terry Ford of Carlisle, her nieces, Robby Snow of Oklahoma City, OK, Lynn Enck of Churchtown, Sherry Lopatic of Choctaw, OK, and Deborah Yarnot of Etters. Also, nephews, Stephen Snow of Elkton, MD, and Terry Ford, II, of New Cumberland. She also had the love and adoration of many grand and great-grand nieces and nephews.
Betsy embodied the idea of “favorite Auntie.” Her endless joy and infectious laughter could always be counted on to brighten family gatherings. She loved all babies and couldn’t wait to get on the floor to color with the little kids. She had many lifelong friends. Betsy truly loved her pets, especially her beloved Chica who was with her to the end.
There is no service planned at this time.
We will always remember Betsy and her beautiful smile.
