Ellamae (Reininger) Vajdic, 89, of Bressler, formerly of Lewisberry, passed away peacefully on Thursday October 28, 2021, in her home surrounded by her loving family.

She was born in Harrisburg on April 12, 1932, the daughter of the late Charles E. and Goldine Reininger. Ellamae was a 1950 graduate of John Harris High School, She was a member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, Mechanicsburg. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who deeply loved her Faith, Family and Friends. Ellamae was a Homemaker and enjoyed gardening, crafts, painting, spinning wool, weaving and the Pittsburgh Steelers. She was an amazing cook and baker, and loved to do both. She was famous for her nut roll. She loved nature, animals and enjoyed visiting the Alpacas. Ellamae also enjoyed traveling to the beach with her family and her grandchildren when they were young. She loved volunteering at her church; RCIA, making Job's Tears rosaries for the children, making Easter Eggs and Friday Lent dinners with the group etc... "An inspiration to all that met her and was so easy to love."

She is survived by her nine children; Michael G. Vajdic Jr., Thomas E. Vajdic (Patty), Anthony J. Vajdic, Mark W. Vajdic, Christine M. Vajdic- Johnson, Joanne M. Vajdic, Gregory A. Vajdic (Trisha), Robert E. Vajdic, and Diane E. Vajdic; 13 grandchildren; Wayne N. Johnson Jr. (Heidi), Nicole Johnson (boyfriend Ty), Caitlin Vajdic (boyfriend Jason), Carson Vajdic (Lauren), Jessica Crawford (Gabe), Treyton Vajdic (girlfriend Jessica), Robert M. Vajdic (girlfriend Missy), Michael A. Vajdic, Stephan C. Vajdic, Tory D. Vajdic, Tracy Derr (Brett), Thomas P. Vajdic (Allison), Lisa Turnbull (TJ). Nine great-grandchildren; Andre`, Jazmine, Nicholas, Kyrah, Payton, Tyson, Madison, Raegan, Jase and her faithful companion grand-dog "Kookie"; and one niece Donna Santangelo and her children; Jann, David and Jay. She leaves many special friends and was considered "Mom/Gram/Old Gram" by many throughout the years.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Michael G. Vajdic Sr.; brothers Willard Reininger, and Charles R. Reininger.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, November 4, 2021 at 11:00 am in St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 310 Hertzler Rd. Mechanicsburg PA 17055, with the Rev. Anthony Eseke, as Celebrant. A viewing will be held on Thursday from 10:00 to 11:00 am in the church. Burial will be in Gate Of Heaven Cemetery, Mechanicsburg. Arrangements by Wiedeman Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Oberlin.

The family would like to thank Homeland Hospice Staff, Dr. Jane K. Conroy and staff, and Dr. Gregory Sullivan and staff for all of their kind compassionate care and support for Ellamae and her final days. The family also wants to express a special thank you to all her friends at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church.
