Emil George Morris, 75, of Harrisburg, passed away on March 11th, 2023, at home surrounded by his family.
Emil George Morris was born in Harrisburg, PA to Catherine and Howard Morris on December 16, 1947. He was graduate of Bishop McDevitt High School, Class of 1968. He married Georgianna Morris on September 11th, 1971 in Enhaut, PA. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War and served in the United States Marine Corp. He worked as a cryogenic tank specialist for 40 years and helped launch startup businesses in Florida and Pennsylvania. He was a member of The Knights of Columbus, Holy Name of Jesus Roman Catholic Church and coached baseball, basketball, and football youth sports.
Emil is preceded in death by his parents Catherine and Howard Morris and his sisters Katherine and Mary and brothers Howard, John, Henry, George, Micheal.
Emil is survived by his wife of 51 years Georgianna, children Eugene and Brian wife Kelly, and grandchildren Peyton and Elowyn and his dog, Duke.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, March 21, 2023 at 11:00 am in Holy Name of Jesus Roman Catholic Church. Burial at the conclusion of Mass will be in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery. A viewing will be held on Tuesday from 9:00 am - 10:30 am in Wiedeman Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 357 South Harrisburg Street, Oberlin.
