Eric V. Salinger, 76, of Bressler, died Thursday, December 23, 2021 in UPMC Community Osteopathic Hospital, Lower Paxton Twp.
He was a US Army Veteran of the Vietnam War and a retired Computer Supervisor for the Defense Distribution Center, New Cumberland. He was a member of Prince of Peace Roman Catholic Parish, Steelton and St. Lawrence Lodge No. 13 Croatian Fraternal Union.
Eric was the son of the late Laurence and Barbara T. Galinac Salinger and is survived by his loving wife, Virginia A. Wagner Salinger; son, Scott E. Salinger and wife, Christina of Wrightsville; daughter, Lori J. Barnhart and husband, Steven of Harrisburg; sister, Diane Tucker of Bressler; three grandchildren, Daniel Salinger and wife, Danielle, Jacob Salinger and wife, Taylor, and Faith Barnhart; great granddaughter, Lyla Salinger; niece, Lisa Ciccocioppo and husband, Barry; great niece, Alyssa Zimmerman; great nephew, Anthony Zimmerman; and a brother-in-law, Dave Wagner.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, December 30, 2021 at 12 Noon in Prince of Peace- Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Roman Catholic Church with Rev. Jonathan P. Sawicki as Celebrant. Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery. A visitation will be held on Thursday from 11:30 am until 12 Noon in his church. Arrangements are being handled by Wiedeman Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Oberlin.
